The big four are all making huge profits.
If this were a proper free market they would be challenged by new entrants. They are a cartel sharing their abuse of market power.
They have many lobbyists trying to paint consumer revolt as 'bank bashing'. That term is used to insult anyone who points out their obvious abuse of power.
The banks enjoy a state imposed fine on shifting bank (mortgage stamp duty). They are also bludging their guarantee from tax payers for free.
Banks are thieves. There is no competition so regulate the scoundrels.
