In all of my research their is always some level of water production when producing hydrocarbons.

One of the peak oil books I read was predicting that the water cut for the gawar field (saudi's biggest field) now was greater than 50%.(cant remember exactly but amazingly high) and noone is suggesting selling that off.

When you say you have been burned before on water cut I presume your talking about the amatuers over at GDN.

Whilst it is proper to act on your doubts, if you think your going to get hydrocarbons without water your going to struggle, its really just a parameter that needs to be managed and they have stated that they are managing so I am more than happy with that.
