I am not a chemistry/metallurgy expert here, but, if all goes well, ( and using BPP previous costings) a ph of 3 used (100 times less acid) , contaminants down to 1 % (from 5 %) reagents costs drop down, ) 0.60 cents/T Sulphuric acid and Calcium carbonate to ) , 0.60 cents per tone and no crushing required, (a saving of US$2-3 a tonnne) , then the costs drop to US$10-11 /Tonne, which if the QLD or federal govt funds A$ 200 million of the $400 million for the plant, makes this project profitable even at todays prices when processing 20MT/Annum ore. But of course awaiting BPP assessment). Like I said given what happened so far and if all goes well and my maths is correct.
