Putin is open to negotiation but prepared for war IMO. He will want recognition of the reality on the ground as the starting point for negotiation.

I expect after the US election that would be the time Zelensky will be removed (and blamed for the military loss regardless of who is in the whitehouse) but then will it be Yermak and more war under Joey B with NATO entry or the art of the deal and peace under trump?
