The commodities slaughter show rolled on in America before recovering substantially by the close (yes, the BHP price is the "recovered" price) as base metal prices sold off again. I mentioned before all of this started that there was a lot of speculative activity in base metals (in particular Copper) and these metals were at risk of a significant correction.... normally bubbles are built on a slither of truth, so whilst traders took it too far, I am not seeing the correction as something to be concerned about... but rather just speculative positions getting flushed out.
