That article is misleading. Other sources say it is to be a moratorium on the issuing of construction licences for new RKEF plants. The move has been mooted for a long time.
There is a well established IMIP stainless steel industry which will require continuing supply from existing plants.
It's in NIC's favour that we are currently putting resources into constructing the worlds cleanest and most efficient HPAL plant, which is the type of production favoured by the Indonesian authorities.
