As for the Baha'i Faith, I've made no secret that I think if any of this religious business is true then the Baha'i Faith is as true as any of it. If you look at the many prophecies in the Bible, both OT and NT then they point to Persia, mid 1800s, two Prophets, 40 years of imprisonment and revelation.
Yes, you make no secret of this on a continuous basis. If you choose the right prophecies and interpret them in a certain way that is is possibility the conclusion that you will come up with. I'm not saying that this applies to you; It's just a suggestion.
I do think there is something real in religion and I think all religions are a part of that one reality, whatever that is.
Something real in religion with all of them being part of the one reality, but you don't know what the reality is? - that is what I think you are saying.
In any case, I don't know what you are getting at.
I have no problem with you being whatever you wish to describe yourself as, my point being that on a religious forum, regardless of one's religiosity, if one has a bit of a punt at trying to decipher prophecy or the abstruse, abstract Book of Revelation then I think that's where the debate should be.
Your wish is granted, not so? There has been debate - including taking punts - about the Books of Revelation and Daniel since the books were written with as much confusion now as there ever was.
Should I be grateful that you have no problem with my describing myself as I with? OK, I'm grateful.
How did Christ fulfil OT prophecy, you've read the book, there's nothing to debate here. Sure there are prophecies in the OT regarding Christ, Christ is the Messiah, the Son of God, a Manifestation of God, Christians are right to exalt and pay heed to this divine being.
Why then do you make snide remarks about Christ and the resultant religion, Christianity?
That does not then mean that every prophecy in the OT is about Christ, the majority are not about Christ, they refer to the Second Coming. The internet will provide you with everything you need to reach your own conclusion.
Of course, you are right; not every OT prophecy is about Christ.
Is the second coming not about the second coming of Christ?
If you like the Internet you will find a variety of claims that the second coming has already happened; claims which contradict each other. Welcome to the Internet as a reliable source of information.
Where do prophecies say that they will stop in the mid-1800s? I could be wrong, but it sounds like an attempt by some religion that was spawned in the 1800s to stop further "punting" and competition.
I know about the mid-1800s business including claimed interpretations of Revelation and Daniel. I know about quite a few religions that were spawned in the 1800s. I lived in Muslim countries for six years and as a result of my curiosity know a fair amount about Islam. I tried to avoid being snide while trying to understand the religion. I know nothing about Tao Te Ching.
