while i would love Valad to head north towards its NTA / NAV, a consolidation does not do this.
I have held several stocks where all it did was to provide the extra room to head south, e.g. ELD had a 10:1 to $1.50 so the price could drop to 32c.
under water by heaps on this one.
what i find amazing is how soon boards hope people will forget. there was a time when a company trading below NTA would get asked the serious question, sell out and return the assets to the shareholders.
Now its "long term shareholder groeth" the aim irrespective of the previous price or NTA.
i wish boards / management could understand it is unacceptable to destroy wealth and have assest returning nothing to shareholders
