Directors arent allowed to purchase on market within either 2 or 4 weeks (cant recall which) of a price sensitive announcement (ASX rules - I think Chapter 10 somewhere).
I see it as a positive for confidence, but also a telegraph move that no real info will be released for a further few weeks...which the educated already knew, but now the whole market knows.
On another positive note, it takes off the table another 5k shares to be manipulated !!
