H2SO4 is priceless at Big Sandy because they would need to manufacture it with sulfur dioxide (easy to transport from source) and the costly ingredient, water. That can't be taken from the river, it has to be pumped from wells, and the groundwater table is already receding to the detriment of agriculture and urban development.
