Never fall in love with your stocks to the extent you ignore negative developments etc. He's not saying have a one night stand and then dump it straight away for the next hot thing. Most of his best positions he's been in for decades, despite recording enormous returns on them. It's not falling in love, it's maintaining shares in winning companies.
Good on you for locking in a profit, I wouldn't be expecting to get back in cheaper though unless DRO comes out with unexpectedly negative news (which is always a risk with any stock).
