See there's the trouble with charts.

I had a lazy few k lying around and thought, what the heck I'll pick up those 17cent shares on close (and a few more besides - at 17.5. If I'd known you wanted a bullish dragonfly doji I would have only picked up the 18k at 17cents. As it was, someone came in behind me just prior to close and place 18k at 17c thereby pushing the price up to 17.5.

So you really did have a bullish dragonfly doji in theory. Just ignore the fact that it closed at 17.5 due to someone coming in with those 18k on close. Equally, someone could have come in with another 20k for sale at 17 and pushed it back down to 17, and you would have had your perfect BDD. ;-)

Sometimes you just can't trust those charts! They can look good on paper, but there could be a contrivance behind them.

Don't lose any sleep over it... it will make us all look better on paper at 17.5 than 17.
