War criminal is a towering fool with no plan B.
Like HITLER, this war emerged entirely from his head, not from his cabinet for military commanders, and certainly not from the Russian people. he cannot go forward and he cannot go back. Putin has put himself in the situation where he can't win. Can't lose and can't stop.
