The reason that the Ukraine doesn't qualify for NATO membership is that it has disputed borders since 2014.
According to NATO membership prerequisites a country does not qualify for NATO membership id it has disputed borders .
All 3, Ukraine, Georgia & Moldova have disputed borders/contested territory and a such they don't qualify for NATO membership.
Of course NATO can always change its membership applicant conditions but as of yet that hasn't happened.
Si, IMO , all this hot air about the Ukraine's future membership assumes that the Ukraine will win this war and re-establish its pre 2014 borders and at present that's wishful thinking.
