Nope, never said Ukraine was immune from meddling.
The Kremlin has been meddling in Ukraine for centuries. Some recent examples of Kremlin meddling in Ukraine are the 2010 election where Putin helped Yanukovych stuff ballots and poison the opposition candidate. Putin then tried meddling again in Ukraine by offering Yanukovych a bribe in 2013 to take Ukraine from their EU path.
But the conspiracy theory that the US overthrew the Ukrainian government in 2013-2014 is a junk debunked pro Kremlin conspiracy theory with zero basis in reality.
