Dear Penny, you inspired me. I generally do not watch TV. But when you said you were going to watch a film. I found one that I have heard of, but never seen. The Miracle Worker, Ann Bancroft 1962. I watched it on my computer.
Immediately that child, reminded me of my granddaughter who has ADHD and Autism.
I have observed some of her awful meltdowns, with much sadness.
This child in the film, who was deaf and blind, was trapped in her body, filled with such frustration and 1000% times more out of control, than my granddaughter.
It did have a happy ending, but really reinforced that boundaries help ALL children.
I hope you enjoyed your film.
