For those who disputed my statement that RE Permanant Magnets were not used significantly in Wind Turbines prior to 2018, see the 2017 article below which clearly states that PMSG's will be the future. (note: we are talking about RE PM's here not the earlier Ferrite PM's)..

The uptake of PMSG's since 2018 is made apparent by the rapid increase of installed global capacity from around 590Gw in 2018 to 1050Gw in 2023, You don't have to be a rocket scientist to work out that nearly 50% of WT's are younger than 5 years old. And still have 20 years of life left in them before they will be recycled.

Also, It appears that I was being overly pessimistic by saying WT's have a life span of 10-15 years; It looks like that life expectancy has now blown out to 20-25 even 30 years ~ So I would not be getting my hopes up for much of a RE recycling business from WT's until at least 2040.
