The risk is now spread over fewer and fewer households prepared to pay the outrageous premiums.
Example - my place in Cairns over the last 30 years used to cost less than $1000 pa for 10 years, then less than $1500 pa for the next 10 years.
Latest premium quote - $8500 !!!
I'm joining the non insurers now.
And ... I have never made a claim in 30 years.
