    Hi Jo Jo

Thanks for sharing that, for the most apart I totally agree with you.

Including the abortion past 20 weeks when it's a perfectly healthy baby, however I don't believe that happens all that often and keeping in mind less than 1% of abortion happen after 20 weeks, I suspect the anti-abortion group exaggerate how often it happens. But again I would not condone that and I just don't see how a normal average woman would do it

I think 20 weeks is a good cut off point but note state laws have a few weeks either side, after that 2 doctors need to sigh off and I would suggest that the doctors would not sign off unless there was clear physical and mental health issues at play. Just can't see a woman with a perfectly healthy fetus/baby at 24 plus weeks getting an abortion for no other good reason

As for the 4 week limit, from my limited understanding a woman may not know she is pregnant at that time, and again from my limited understanding it's not uncommon for a woman to skip a period. I also believe it would be important to give the woman time to warm to the idea of a baby rather than rush a decision to have an abortion when there is legal time constraints

IMO the abortion laws in Australia strike a good balance even if I disagree on the 22 weeks, from what I understand there is also a lot of counselling form women before any abortion is undertaken, particularly if it's a surgical procedure

    And just for my amusement
"Ff’s there is no excuse nowadays to be pregnant, if you choose not to."

Well back in the day we didn't think about that too much, most blokes probably expected the girls to be on the pill and showering with a rain jacket on doesn't seem right.

And before you criticise the blokes not wanting to wear a rain coat, the girl could demand it. I respect a woman's choices, I live with the consequences LOL
