"given the dismal financial returns from renewables investments, ". ..... now certainly sites allocated for some solar arrays have yet to be connected. we can recall the lack of Govt spending on the energy grid for 9 years. but more importantly look further at, for eg, Genex. a little cap for sure, much neglected during its long construction phase with several largish CRs of course. but a well managed outfit and excellent engineers.
what eased the pressure on SHs was the connection to the grid and once that was achieved the revenue steadily increased.
the point is its not the renewable energy investments, but the lack of conscientious support from the previous govt that made those poor investments that weren't so well planned and managed go bad.
