Do you people honestly believe that merchants do not already adjust their pricing to reflect the costs of the card or bnpl transactions, I know my pricing level reflects a 1.5% buffer to allow for transaction costs. Next you will be suggesting merchants don"t already factor in other fixed overheads. LOL all this does is allows the merchant to do a plus cost. they will lose business to others who have already factored in and hidden the cost if they try that. This fear mongering is not passing the smell test. (worse case scenario, it could actually make inflation worse if you firmly believe that everyone will pass it on, hows that for thinking it through by the reserve bank)
