Latest post on the Akara Facebook page. I find it a bit disconcerting how our Chatree Mine keeps getting referred to as the National Gold Mine. If the Generals and their military associates had taken it over it would never have been a mine for the people, but only for them. Thailand has its own Deep State - the Thai military which continues to maintain control in the Upper House, which rejects the people's choice of Prime Minister, and which appears to be embedded in the DPIM and other Government agencies. I think this is why we seem to be getting no closer to having TAFTA settled.
