necessity will drive the decision in the long run. the one point the anti-mob make that is reasonable is the fact that we need a broader fleet of generation for energy. batteries are ok, though I'm unhappy with the current tech. Li batts are insufficiently energy dense to ensure nocturnal supply. and pumped hydro has not been able to be achieved as yet.
hydrogen could make all the difference, particularly when replacing LNG as an energy source for electricity generation.
imo nuclear will be an eventuality. a necessary adjunct to the grid.
