have a careful look at the cost of coal w. CCS.... add on the extra cost of making it HELE and your question is answered.. even if it was possible to make coal low emissions it would be the most expensive energy source other than current estimated cost of SMR.

regardless of Dutton's claim that the CSIRO is "unbelievable", they have a full rank of engineers, scientists who know about different energy systems, economists who know about costings...... how is Dutton's costings to be believed when he doesn't have any costings?
