I think the intention was probably good. My suspicion is that Dato didn’t understand what he was getting involved with and that the old Besra gang wanted this deal badly as the stock was in the gutter and they couldn’t finance the DFS. Coincidentally Dato’s business empire began to creak. Let’s face it no one knows anything about the mercurial Dato, he’s an enigma, with no pedigree. Both sides didn’t do their due diligence on the other in a hurry to get the deal done. Still to be fair, Quantum have provided 25m and the price we pay for that as stockholders is a grossly incompetent and shady board.
