An exact answer may be difficult to determine but I think that a side-track isn't required at this point. They will likely do an acid washout and see if that works, from my understanding they were getting influx so it's unlikely they were overbalanced unless the pressure regime is very complex with all the fractures etc.
We will see. Hopefully the remedy works and we can get flows.
Anyway the alameda flow tests should be commencing shortly and that will be exciting stuff. The other option is to drill the Marti section old school and see what flows can be achieved up to safety limits.
