I strongly disagree with that remark. This is NOT up ramping as what I am about to say is public, non price sensitive information.
I work for BlueScope(23yrs) in one of the "jewel in the crown" states. BSL shed some dead wood MANAGEMENT staff during 2009 just like any other company trying to improve cash flow. NO storemen were shed in our state, utilised better between shifts, yes, but not made redundant.
BSL is strong enough financially to not meet 'desired' monthly targets and persevere with an aggressive sales team to win contracts- which it has vastly improved in the present quarter due to the resource industry showing improvement.

If anyone is familiar with Victaulic installation ready coupling systems you will soon see the BSL logo along side promotional literature. Std grooved installation is 5xfaster than welded joints and 3xfaster than flanged. This system is capable of halving those times. Widely used in Fire Protection, Potable Water and Oil/Gas/Mining systems to name a few. BSL prior to Smorgon TO lacked a distribution arm. It clearly has one since. Albeit it's debut ownership year was "BOOM" times and helped it achieve $860m profit. BSL is not a two bit operation with no direction. It has been aggressive with line pipe for many years and the Victaulic system with add value $$$$$.

Obviously BSL is a very diverse company. Pioneer Tanks, Highline sheds. Etc etc etc. It is not all about Colorbond and flat steel products.

As to the current price, sure, even I don't bother DT it because my capital is better utilised else where until the shorter games are over. But as a company for mid/long term investment it's a no brainer. A buy at $2 for BSL......geez, talk about fooling some people all of the time. LOL

To all the down rampers, you should do your research with logic. Uhmmmm OST or BSL? Or is there some other two bit spec steel producer/distributor that will be in place to compete. LOL :))

I hope I have not ramped BSL.
