My 2 cents worth ….we have oil we have fractures so something is reducing permeability and blocking flow. It is fractured over pressured rock in a thrust zone …. Could simply be closing in on us as we drawdown the well. If this is the case and acid fracture may make enough path into the formation to reduce drawdown at the flowface and allow flow. If it is emulsion clogging natural fracs similarly we might get past the damage and establish. Either way it is a reasonable way forward. They will have to source a bunch of acid (to get deep you’ll need literally truckloads) and high pressure pumps that have the internals than can handle and you can’t buy from the USA it takes time… so rather than lose rig time try testing higher. All of this is sensible, not what you want but it’s what youve got. Gutting but let’s see if we can sew up this pigs ear,
