Mineralisation in the soil cover and bed-rock at Wilgar that has been sampled, has predominantly recorded high-grade gold, silver and tellurium.
The grade increased in relationship to each other, suggesting telluride-style mineralisation similar to that observed in the Kalgoorlie gold-fields, e.g. Golden Mile.
In the case of Wilgar, however, it has been formed from a distinctly different mineralising system, playing host to a greater variety of deposited metals such as MO, Cu and U.
Due to the nature of the high grade results a bed-rock drilling programme has been designed for Wilgar, based on the observation that high grade mineralisation exist in the soil cover and well into the bed-rock profile. It may be widespread.
Time will tell before any detailed determinations are made.
Also remember the mineral drysdalite has been found on site.
WM recently iterated significant potential may exist for Wilgar to be a major IOCG System and host to a concentration of gold and Polymetallic mineralisation.
