won't happen. I think labor's doing ok on other fronts and this proposal has done liberal no favours with the wider public. Dutton was not the right person to float this idea and totally botched it - lack of detail and totally unrealistic goals - not to mention his Twitter account posting a Sims type pics of a SMR from rolls Royce. I think this move has set us back rather than propel us forward to legalise and implement. in fact it was so botched, it has really made me dubious of his motives. Australia is sadly very anti nuclear. I don't think that is going to change anytime soon until it is a question of "either we get nuclear or the lights go out" - to slightly change Rick Rule's favourite saying. don't get me wrong, I am pro nuclear for Australia for base load energy. it has to be part of the mix. I am just really disappointed about the way this idea has finally been introduced to the country. it's done us no favours. classic modern Australian politics.
