Agreed, but yuppies and Elon worshiping dopes everywhere, actually.

I'm waiting for the day when high-density residential complexes ban EVs from parking within due to insurance and liability concerns.
It will only take one EV fire, wiping out many other vehicles parked around it, to trigger this.
I'd also expect the structural integrity of the basement / parking structure will need to be checked by engineers.

When one building bans EVs, not if, then it will start a chain reaction around the nation... much like a lithium battery going into thermal runaway!

No building owner will want the risk, real or perceived.

(I have specifically made perceived bold for the dopey evangelists chasing the electric dream, who lack any self-control with ICE vs EV fire stats.)

At the same time Councils will ramp up the fining of dopey EV owners who run extension leads across the footpaths, and creating trip hazards.
This will become a future cash cow for Councils.
