We will finish recruitment well before the end of 2026 given the number of sites we are adding and the limited number of patients we need to recruit. Michelle is just being extra cautious because of the timeline uncertainties caused by the Bayesian trial design. It is important to remember that the trial is open label so it is not like we are not going to be able to report how things are going as the trial is recruiting.

The other factor (which I have mentioned before), is while it takes quite a long time to get a readout on the anticancer response (you have to wait for the patient to fail treatment), the cardioprotection response is measured straight after treatment. We already know bisantrene is an effective anticancer drug, what we don't know is if bisantrene can protect the hearts of patients. The thing we really want to know we get first.
