what is the back up plan and for renewables and how much will it cost? what happens when there is no Sun or rain? if the answer is power storage. When will the technology be available? how many days of storage will we need for the whole of australia? A week, a month or a year? what happens when we run out of electricity? Will people be dying in hospitals or dying of the cold? where will the storage be kept and how dangerous is it? how often do we need to replace the storage and how much does the storage cost? how will we treat the waste from storage that is no longer used? after accounting for all these costs that has not been calculated atm. How much more expensive will renewable be.
