First he had his kooky conspiracy theory totally debunked (shelling NOR to access tax losses).
And now the big hyperscaler announcement he has been expecting has proven to be a massive flop (high volume, red close); even after including "Microsoft" and "OpenAI" in the headline. lol.
Now why would the market react like that? Is it because:
1. Despite a $300k draw-down facility, NOR's cash burn rate would suggest they are running on empty and have a habit of releasing flaky announcements before a CR
2. The announcement doesn't contain any particulars or measurables. It only says we will integrate and innovate. So what? It is meaningless fluff for a company with a dreadful history of commercialisation.
No wonder the perma-bulls are losing it. None of them are able to provide any meaningful context as to what this announcement means. Hint: even after integrating tech, NOR will still have to sell it to telcos. Microsoft will not do that for them as it's not their business model. If Microsoft saw value in NOR's tech, either financial or innovative, they'd acquire it. Microsoft have been aware of NOR's tech for years, since the Metaswitch/Spark days. And yet, after all this time, they can only produce this fluffy announcement. lol
The elephant in the room: NOR's only telco customer, Spark NZ, was presenting about revenue generation from AI. Why haven't NOR been able to sell other products to Spark? If I am a telco exec, this is the first question I am asking. And then I'd ask Spark directly and compare responses. Holders should ask PO the same question. @angusmcfangledang asked PO about the pilots. Maybe you want to ask him about Spark and NOR's other products.
It's very easy to do due diligence on NOR; if one is willing to research beyond HC and words in the announcements...
