This morning we got the warning on gas supplies. and it was not the first time.
Victoria relies a lot on gas for power generation it is almost as good as hydro to cover peaks and troughs in system demand.
It is clear that we are heading for a power crises and all our politicians want to do is play school kid games
Most of them know very little about keeping the lights on.
The people of Australia need to be educated how serious this is and vote most of them out at next election.
The issue of energy for our nation is a technical issue and I fear we are not using the right people to plan this.
Many years ago I believe the planers put land aside on French Island in Victoria to build a Nuclear Power Station. This made sense as it had the water supply and also was close to the load centre of our major city, reducing all the transmission losses.
Back in the days of proper planning for our future by well trained people.
I am very surprised at how dumb some of our politicians are. That is the real danger.
