Sorry, I remain unconvinced at this stage that renewables are the cheapest option given the new transmission lines, upgrades, under performance of wind and some solar projects, unknown impacts of large scale solar for industrial processes. I do like solar panels on suburban and industrial roofs but I am unsure supply can meet demand at peak periods or events. Modelling is very often incorrect and sometimes in very significant factors which will leave us exposed from an energy perspective and given our modern day no how I would rather firm up energy supply with base load sources that are proven over the long term.
That could change over time with renewables but atm I wouldn’t hang my hat on batteries or hydro for baseload default.
