I attended a talk by a man from Rockingham who has been running a small modular reactor in Canada for 40 years. They have never had an incident and they just add another one when population growth demands it. They employ and train lots of people who can then get higher paying jobs.
At the end he asked for a show of hands by those in favour of a nuclear reactor in the Peel region and 70% voted in favour.
