Then explain to me an others how bidding goes to get onto the grid

My suggestion would dramatically reduce the price of electricity if there was a bidding process for renewable and a seperate bidding processes.gas and coal.

That way the highest price is set by renewables and supplemented if need be, by the lowest priced fossil fuel generators.
The cost of the fossil fuel generators is spread over the demand provided across all renewable generation.


Unless things have changed, currently if demand spikes and there is a need for fossil fuel generation, everyone immediately gets paid the highest price.

It is usually the old coal fired power station that set the highest price….
