early modelling 2o0 years ago showed that we would experience hotter, drier weather. since then our weather has become much more humid, which relates well to the warmer ocean temperatures. and so we've had more rain. I don't recall any period when we here have had so much rain - all year round.
this is perfect for mozzies and other insects, bad for some different insects, eg beetles and moths.
so too bad for insectivore bats and birds. they'll go hungry. but mozzies will thrive.
northern hemisphere? we had the hottest driest years in my memory over the 4 years to 2020. then the hot air moves to the north and we got wet.
soon the hot air will circulate back tot he south and we'll cop worse than the '18/19 drought and the '19/20 bushfires.
climate change is being seen all over the planet. worse disasters to come.
