IIRC YAL has a greater reliance on thermal coal, so one consideration may be the relative movements in thermal and met coal prices.
With the recent acquisitions, WHC is a changed company.
YAL is likely to pay out a higher percentage of net profit in dividends. The mainland Chinese majority holder loves dividends!
