"So go to the previous verse and try wrap your head around the word "mortals' and how it will be referenced.

5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,

    “Never will I leave you;
    never will I forsake you.”[a]

6 So we say with confidence,

“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?"

Not sure what your point here is?
The Lord being reference here is Yehowah, the God ref here.
    Jesus was mortal.
    ......................

do You SEE the name "Jesus Christ", now THINK, WHEN did that name come about = re at the time of being born from Mary,

"That's one aspect of the nature of Jesus."

Oh please do tell, where are the Bible verses that SAY, there is another aspect to his nature, other than he doesn't live the way of the world, like those that the Father gave him don't - John 17:16.

Who was the 1st Adam's Father and how many natures did he have?
Isn't a 2nd Adam man, exactly that, other than the way he was made, created?
    ------------------
"You can't get your head around the aspect that is the same yesterday and today and forever."

This is referring to the 2nd Adam man.
He grew in favor with God, raised by God, exalted, ordained, glorified etc, hmmmm, looky here, we see a progression of changes, hmmmm
    ------------------

The Supremacy of the Son of God

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God as was the 1st Adam, the firstborn over all creation in the mind and plans of God, for the Jesus to be. 16 For because in him - with the future one to be in mind - all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through on account of, by reason of, because of, for the sake of (Dia) him and for him. 17 He is before all things, in the context just covered and in him - because of - all things hold together.

Then after the cross, all things now LITERALLY -> 1:18 - And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Hmm, if he pre-existed, he would of already literally had this preeminence!
    ------------------
"Before all things" - firstborn of creation in the mind and plans of God, right where your creations begin.
The creation of your post to me, began in you.
    ---------------
"You haven't got back to us on who is on the throne while the New Jerusalem is coming down from God. If you read on further it should come to you."

Hmmm, have you ever wondered WHO the Son is sitting at the RHS of ???????????? wink.png
Hmmm, I wonder what they are sitting on??? lol.
    ---------------------
PS. Have Ya become a Word of God yet biggrin.png, Brother Word to Word Jesus. lol.
