There is every chance that a lot of the sellers were also the buyers. Some ending up with a profit, some with a loss. A lot of those sold today were from Fridays buying hoping for a "flintstone" profit.
The ASX casino attracts all sorts and remember the house takes a margin there too. Even the government is in on the act with the GST.
