I know what you mean but there is an element of free will and choice during life to return to god. From that experience I’ve started to lightly look into doctrine and you need to choose god and have faith is my understanding. Passage isn’t guaranteed. I suppose if you chose ‘self’ or ‘I’ identify, that is what you will receive
