The best part was potentially a safer battery. By how much who knows. I would be surprised if only a few to 6 months is required to validate the "Safer separation material". So sadly again I suspect more testing will be required especially if claiming a reduction in Runaway Fire risk. Then each battery manufacturer will likely want to test before final product. Just the beginning of this Fire Safety Reduction journey in my opinion.
