I see your point. we need important, necessary social services but you, and I as well as everyone else, are appalled at the absurd profligacy of govt spending.
by your header I thought your we're positing that we should pay no tax.... a slave after all receives no payment and without taxation our necessary services would have to be provided by slaves.
while i get why people are upset about NDIS, the people who benefit from the service are growing independence at last. back in the 60s most of these people lived in "hospitals", many in locked wards of more than 50 people. I used to work there. it wasn't nice. people with average intelligence who couldn't communicate due to spasticity or injury were unable to live free. now some of these people are working and paying taxes because of the NDIS.
the current govt is repairing the mess the NDIS had become. it wasn't being run as it should.
and for NBN..... yes Mr NBN did a pathetic mess of that too,. but would you rather go back to dial up? its been an absolute boon for business.
so do your level best coasty. limit your taxes, surely not 50%, as much as you can..... me I'm a happy taxpayer because I appreciate what we've got.
