I have no idea what years of time locked up did to him. Is he an ok dude now? I have no idea. Was he at the time this all started? I didn’t warm to the man for sure. Should he have been locked up in the UK ? Don’t know for sure. Was he a journalist? Not as we knew the term? Do people exposing state secrets do a good thing or not? Not for that country but for others maybe.
I can’t answer a straight yes or no because I can sit here and see all the shades of grey. everything to me was complicated by the US interest in the man. And just as I feel with other cases my opinion would be based only on what is publicly know that I’ve bothered to read. I try not to do that because it is likely not everything there is to know and judge on
