Maybe AUQ gave Matec information about the composition / density / grind size of the tailings that was wrong which might have caused the wrong TFP to be recommended? It could be something as simple as AUQ changing their mind on what flotation reagent they are using and the reagent is causing problems to the mechanical parts of the filter press through accelerated destruction of o-rings or seals etc - these reagents aren't kiddie chemicals.

I think the best way we are going to find out things is for @Moealara to ask the MD for a detailed explanation / root cause analysis of the entire problem.
