I have shown the math many times before if you add up the atomic weights of Nd2Fe14B you will find that by weight Nd is 27% of a perm magnet. 1.6 tons of Nd will produce 6.17 tons of perm magnets. Go to a periodic table and double check me if you want.

AC synchronous Moters. the first tesla to use perm magnet motors was the 3. Ferrets are very week and heavy. Electro magnets are cheaper more efficient and lighter than Ferrite. advances in Perm magnet motors When applied to the stator of electric motors makes them just a little bit heavier and a little less efficient that perm magnets. Why would anybody use Ferrites in the rotor? Remember almost all motors before 2000 were all electric except a few linear and steeper Moters.
