Interesting thought! It's true that if you're a big enough holder you can play games and manipulate the market by doing things like posing as a big buyer just behind the going price, in order to push the price up and sell a parcel into it, before withdrawing the phoney buy. I have witnessed many times with other "traders' stocks" the indications of such a tactic, though one can never be sure. In this case I doubt it was the case. More likely a genuine buyer chanced his arm hoping to flush out a similar-sized seller, found he couldn't, and then took his broker's advice to withdraw the buy and await a pull-back before buying in smaller parcels.
