David Coyne Non-Executive Director / Spartan Resources
David Coyne has more than 25 years of experience in the mining, engineering and construction industries.
He has also served on the boards of ASX-listed mining companies in executive and non-executive director capacities.
Mr Coyne commenced as chief financial officer of Gascoyne Resources (later known as Spartan Resources) in July 2020 and became company secretary in October 2020. In November 2021, he was promoted to the newly created role of finance director and joined the board as an executive director.
Mr Coyne stepped down from his executive roles in August 2023 but remains on the board as a non-executive director.
He became chief financial officer and joint company secretary of Red 5 in September 2023.
Prior to Spartan Resources, Mr Coyne joined Peninsula Energy in 2013 as chief financial officer and was promoted to finance director in 2017.
He stepped down from his executive role in July 2020 but remains with the company as a non-executive director until October 2021.
Mr Coyne was also chief financial officer of Australia at manganese miner Consolidated Minerals and had held senior management positions at Macmahon Holdings, Woodside and international engineering firm KBR.
